4 strategies you should be employing in your DM’s every. single. day.

Today, we’re chatting about DM selling.
As a general rule of thumb, you should be spending the SAME amount of time that you spend creating content/posting everyday if not MORE, in your DMs having as MANY conversations as you can.
Social media is a selling gold mine & the DMs are where the magic happens. I don’t care if you have 300 followers or 50K followers, you can take your business to heights you never expected when you get proactive vs. reactive in the DMs.
When I say reactive, I mean only responding to people who message you, comment on your content, reply to your Stories, etc.
When I say proactive, I mean that you should be employing the following 4 strategies in your DMs every. single. day.
ONE: SENDING LEAD MAGNETS/FUNNEL OPT-INS
One of the absolute best ways to do this efficiently is to utilize the app ManyChat. ManyChat will send automated DMs to your prospects whenever they comment or DM you a trigger word. You can create an automation within ManyChat to automatically send a link/resource of your choice when that word is utilized. Explore ManyChat HERE. TWO: NEW FOLLOWER MESSAGES
This one often leaves people cringing a little bit inside, but here’s the thing–it’s only weird if you make it weird. Be a normal human and greet/welcome your followers to your page just as you would welcome someone when meeting them in real life. We encourage ALL of our clients to send new follower messages for 5-10 minutes per day. You can include a lead magnet of your choice, or you can simply contact the lead and ask them about themselves! This is a great way to create REAL connection with your followers, increasing loyalty and likeliness that they will swipe their card with you.
THREE: *MOST IMPORTANT* FOLLOW-UP MESSAGES
This is where you should be spending the majority of your time each day when in your DMs. You can flag your leads as “leads” in Instagram, or, what works even better, is to create a spreadsheet where you house the usernames, names and notes about each lead you come into contact with. Who should you follow up with? Anyone who…has expressed interest directly in your offer, anyone who has downloaded a lead magnet or opted into one of your funnels, anyone who has engaged with you in the comments on Instagram or by replying to your Stories. Ask clarifying questions and guide them through the buying process. Be patient! Every lead is different–some will purchase right away, and some will take their time. If you don’t want to leave money on the table, don’t let them leave your sight!
FOUR: POSTING INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS AND DMING EVERYONE WHO RESPONDS/INTERACTS
This one is highly underestimated. Stories on Instagram are the MOST utilized/watched feature on the ENTIRE platform. People spend the most time each day consuming Story slides. When you add interactive elements to your Stories, asking questions and connecting with your audience in a way that connects to your offer, you open the door for people to raise their hand and become a lead. Interactive elements can include…question boxes, swipe bars, polls, stickers, etc. AKA anything people can click on/engage with.
