A Large Following Does Not Equal A Large Business

You may or may not have seen our recent Instagram Reel, but we talked all about conversion on Instagram. I want to take that conversation a step further with you here. 

Ask yourself:

Why do you use Instagram for your business?

Is it to GROW your business? I'd assume so. 

If you want to grow your business using social media, then you need to convert your followers into paying clients/customers. 
 
The average conversion rate on Instagram is .30%-2.60% of your following. That means your conversion rate should be in that range or higher. 
 
If you have a following of 500, you should be converting between 1-13 followers.
If you have a following of 5,000, you should be converting between 15-130 followers. 
If you have a following of 20,000, you should be converting between 60-520 followers.
 
If you’re not yet converting within that range, you won’t magically convert when you gain more followers. Your primary focus should be nurturing and converting followers. If you ARE converting within that range, your primary focus should be on continual growth of your following, while simultaneously converting those new followers at or above the average rate of conversion on Instagram. 
 
Keep in mind, you can also convert even MORE than the average range. Here at Multiplieddd, we have an 8% conversion rate from Instagram follower to client. That means out of 950 followers, we have converted 76 into clients. We aren’t average, and you don’t have to be either! We share all of this to give you a reference.
